Tulip Regatta

The Tulip Regatta is held each spring and consists of two days of windward/leeward buoy racing in Fidalgo Bay, Anacortes along with two dinners - a banquet (tickets required) and entertainment Saturday night; plus a free dinner and awards presentation after the racing on Sunday.

The Tulip Regatta is open to all yachts whose skippers have completed the on-line registration process; have paid an entry fee of $30.00 ($40.00 after April 3); are current PHRF-NW members; and meet PIYA category III requirements. The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2009-2012, except as changed by the sailing instructions.  There will be a Santa Cruz 27 and a San Juan 24 one design fleets sailing this year.  For the SC 27's this will be one of the Road Master events.  The F-18 catermarans will be racing one design and have their own start.  Separate starts will be provided for other one-design fleets consisting of 5 or more boats.

SCHEDULE

Friday - April 13, 2012
1730-2130 - Late registration at the Anacortes Yacht Club. Race packets and sailing instructions distributed, no host bar open, $5.00 hamburgers and hot dogs, t-shirt sales.

Saturday - April 14, 2012
0800 - Donuts and coffee at AYC clubhouse
0900 - Skippers Meeting & announcement of divisions at AYC clubhouse
1000 - First race starts
1700 - Bar open at AYC clubhouse, dinner served (tickets required)

Sunday - April 15, 2012
0930 - First race starts
After end of Racing - Bar open at AYC clubhouse; Complimentary chile dogs & awards at AYC clubhouse
